Carl Levin delivered on the Senate floor on May 5, 2010. View Sen. Carl Levin delivering the speech. _________________________________________ It seemed appropriate to take this time to update all the great supporters of Tiger Stadium. First the good... The GOOD is that the Newly Formed Tiger Stadium Historical Society witnessed their first official act as supporters raised the American Flag on the 125 foot pole at the Tiger Stadium site - A fitting tribute to the memory of Historic Tiger Stadium and a symbol of past Opening Day celebrations. Now the ghosts of Tigers past will be able to honor the start of another baseball season in Detroit thanks to some caring fans and the support of the Tiger Stadium Historical Society. Let's stand guard of our flag and our memories and the hope for a suitable Tiger Stadium Memorial to be created in conjunction with the now utilized famous flag pole. "Force-Out..... How Detroit Lost Tiger Stadium" is still behind schedule as production has been delayed at different stages due to the overwhelming interest in the Stadium site, the OTSC plan and their story and a change in the script writing personnel. Despite these events the film, which is a feature length presentation, is still 90% complete and is expected for release in the very near future. I thank all of our supporters for there continued patience and welcome any questions, concerns, or feedback at peterrileygpm@aol.com. Finally, the ugly... The City of Detroit along with the DEGC and George Jackson insisted that the stadium be destroyed now and not a word has been spoken by them since. Sincerely, Peter
